It's kind of cool and convenient that there are 31 chapters of Proverbs in the Bible -- which fits nicely with our monthly calendars featuring no more than 31 days per month. So what if I committed a year to taking a proverb per day -- 365 days in a row -- considering it, meditating upon it, and seeking to apply it to a 21st Century context? I certainly wouldn't be the first to consider such an undertaking -- reading through the Proverbs (at least) 12 times in the course of the year and deliberately choosing a point of meditation for each day -- but it could still be kind of cool. Beneficial for my own life, and perhaps for others, too...
One of the distinct advantages of the Proverbs is that it's easy to tune into them, whenever one might so choose. It's not like if you missed the first six months, then you're "behind" or anything like that. The Proverbs are just like these little power pellets that can be consumed and digested immediately. It's never too late to start enjoying them!
